Antique decorative dagger with engraved steel blade, brass fittings, and a wire-inlaid wooden handle. Includes its original velvet-covered wooden sheath with brass mounts. The blade features etched decoration on both sides and a central fuller. The handle appears to be carved wood with brass wire inlay and brass ferrules. Overall length is approximately 12 inches with a blade measuring approximately 6½–7 inches. The edge is not sharpened and appears intended as a dagger or stiletto rather than a utility knife. Condition is consistent with age and use. The blade shows oxidation, spotting, and surface wear. Brass fittings have developed an attractive aged patina. The wire-inlaid wooden handle has several age-related cracks and splits with minor wood loss visible, but remains intact. The original velvet-covered sheath shows significant wear, fraying, splitting, and fabric loss, exposing portions of the wooden core beneath. Exact age, maker, and origin are unknown. Similar examples have been attributed to Spanish , but this piece is being sold strictly as an unidentified antique dagger.
