Antique figurative wooden spoon, created by a member of the Ifugao tribe from northern Luzon, Philippines.
Carved from a single piece of native timber, its handle is shaped into a figure known as a bin-nullol, or household guardian, meant to usher in a good rice harvest.
Dates to late 19th century or early 20th century
Measures approx. 9.5”
