Details: This auction is for the EXCEPTIONALLY RARE antique sterling silver vesta match case, made by Birmingham silversmith makers, Harry Synyer and Charles Joseph Beddoes in 1924. The match case is made in best British traditions, adorned with elegant hand engraved pattern.
The case displays a typical set of the British hallmarks:
S*B- Birmingham Makers mark of Synyer & Beddoes
Lion- Silver Standard Mark. STERLING. 925
Z- Birmingham Date Letter for 1924
Anchor- City mark, Birmingham, England
The other top side under the cover has a couple of hand marks, made by silversmith makers.
The match case is as seen in the photos.
Measurements: The sterling silver match case is approx. 44mm tall and 32mm wide.
Condition: The antique sterling silver match case is in very good condition with some signs of age and a couple of very minimal indentations, that could be easily fixed by any silversmith if desired. We did not polish the silver. No monograms.
