NOS 1970-73 Porsche 911 Hirschmann AUTA 4900 LS 18 Antenna - Correct and Rare

If you've been looking for one of these, you've probably been looking for awhile. The AUTA 4900 LS 18 was the correct, dealer-installed antenna for all 1970-73 Porsche 911's and virtually identical to the factory unit.

If your car came from the factory with an antenna installed, that antenna would have been the Hirschmann AUTA 4000 C 71 L. If your car's antenna was dealer installed, that antenna would have been this one, the The AUTA 4900 LS 18. These antennas are perfectly identical in every way except for how the cable mounts to the shaft under the fender. From up top, they are exactly the same and the factory installed 4000 C 71 L antennas are almost never seen for sale (I've had one in 20 years). In short, if you have a 1970-73 911, this is the correct antenna for your car.

This antenna is fresh out of storage after several decades and is complete with all accessories and instructions. NOS, virtually perfect, and ready for your concours restoration - right down to the all-important "Made in W. Germany" marking on the box - you just won't find one better than this.

I've included multiple high-resolution photos showing the exact condition of this item.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and I spend a fair amount of my spare time hunting/buying/trading parts for these great cars. All of the parts I have listed on eBay were, at one time or another, purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. Have parts for sale or trade? I have multiple cars undergoing restoration right now and I'm always interested in hard-to-find, early parts for 356's, 911's, and 912's. Thanks for looking.
