Issued by the National Tuberculosis Association, Christmas seals have been a traditional holiday charity issue since 1907. This set of progressive color proofs provides a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at early-to-mid-century commercial printing. By displaying the individual color layers and their various combinations, these proofs were used to ensure proper ink registration and color accuracy before the final sheets were mass-produced.
