This offering is for an antique mid 19th century folk art hand carved bust of a man. The figure measures app. 7.5" tall and it was carved from wax, possibly beeswax The figure has a wonderfully folky hair style and a bold vibrant presence. There is a small piece of wood impressed into the base that probably is not original to the figure but we have resisted removing it preferring to leave it as part of it history. Being made of wax there are small blemishes including wear, rubs, creases, and dents. However, there are no chips, cracks or breaks and he has an outstanding very deep patina. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 16.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
