This listing is for a Sword 1/72 scale RF‑84F Thunderflash plastic model kit, kit number SW72117. The RF‑84F was the photo‑reconnaissance version of the Republic F‑84F, serving widely with NATO air forces during the Cold War, and this kit depicts a European‑based machine with eye‑catching markings.

The kit features finely moulded limited‑run plastic parts with recessed panel lines, separate control surfaces and detailed undercarriage, plus clear parts and resin ejection seats for extra cockpit detail. In total there are around 78 grey styrene parts and 7 clear parts, along with a decal sheet providing multiple marking options. Reviews note that, like most Sword kits, it rewards careful test‑fitting and is best suited to modellers with some experience of short‑run kits.

This kit is still factory sealed at the ends, and the internal sprues, decals and instructions have never been opened. The outer box does show a noticeable dent and creasing at one end, as shown in the photos, but this is purely cosmetic and will not affect the parts inside. This is ideal for builders who plan to open and build the kit anyway, as well as collectors who don’t mind a bit of box damage on a discontinued release.
