THIS IS THE EARLIEST EXAMPLE OF THIS FORM WITH THE BEST CARVED TOP CREST AND IN THE BEST UNTOUCHED ORIGINAL OLD RED STAINED SURFACE AND PATINA.

AN EXTREMELY RARE EARLY 18TH CENTURY QUEEN ANNE BOSTON, MA SIDE CHAIR WITH A STRONG CARVED TOP CREST WITH A BOLD CANTED AND SHAPED SPLAT AND DEEP EARLY BLOCK TURNINGS .
IT HAS A WELL TURNED FRONT STRETCHER AND VERY BOLD AND FULLY DEVELOPED CARVED SPANISH STYLE FRONT FEET.
IT STILL RETAINS AN OLD AND POSSIBLY ORIGINAL RUSH SEAT.
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, CIRCA 1720-1730 IN THE MOST FANTASTIC ORIGINAL AND WELL WORN RED STAINED SURFACE WITH THE BEST UNTOUCHED PATINA.
AN EXTREMELY RARE AND BOLD FORM.
THESE CHAIRS WERE THE NEXT GENERATION OF THE RARE LEATHER BACK AND PRINCE OF WALES CRESTED CHAIRS FROM 1690-1720.
THIS STYLE LOST THE LEATHER BACK AND ADDED A WELL DEFINED CARVED CREST AND A SOLID WOOD SPLAT ON THE TOP AND A RUSH OR SPLINT SEAT.
IT YOU EVER WANTED A GREAT EARLY EXAMPLE OF A CRAVED CRESTED QA CHAIR THIS PIECE RINGS ALL THE BELLS.
NO REPAIRS TO THE FEET THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL.
This great chair stands 42" tall. The seat height is a full 17 1/4".
