The Rockhound's Guide to Washington series of books by Bob Jackson is an important historical reference for rockhounding in Washington state, and is especially significant because it’s the first modern guidebook for the state. Many of the locations seen in modern books can be traced back specifically to this series of books. Volume 1 focuses on central and southwest Washington and contains location listings and hand drawn maps for 22 collecting areas. These older regional guides are especially useful because they often document collecting areas, mine sites, and access routes that are rarely mentioned in newer publications. Valuable for rockhounds, gold seekers, and treasure hunters doing field research. 

Condition: Like New old stock, unread and unused. Clean interior with excellent pages and solid binding. Light age toning/tanning to covers and page edges from age and storage. No writing, no ownership marks, no folds, bends or tears.
