Chinese porcelain stem cup, decorated with a scene of Mandarin Ducks and Lotus flower.

Hand painted,  underglaze red on white decoration, with six blue character marks, read horizontally on the inside of the stem. The porcelain has a lovely ring when tapped.

We believe this mark is for the Chenghua (Ming) period, but are unsure if this apocryphal (not period). Late Qing?

Measures:  8.5cm tall, 8cm diameter across the top, 4cm diameter across the base.

Condition Very Good: no chips or cracks, couple of pinhole type firing bubbles in the glaze.
