Nonina Strozzi

Bronze Medal Dini e Cellai Signa Italy - Niccolo Fiorentino Style

This is a stunning, high-quality solid bronze medal (uniface) featuring the portrait of Nonina Strozzi, wife of Bernardo Barbigia. The artistry is based on the original Renaissance masterpiece by Niccolò Fiorentino (1430-1514).

This piece was cast by the prestigious Dini e Cellai foundry in Signa (Florence, Italy). Unlike common electrotype reproductions, this is a heavy bronze casting, showcasing the superior craftsmanship for which the Dini e Cellai workshop was internationally famous during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Strozzi family was a pillar of Florentine power and culture. This medal captures the austere beauty and historical importance of the Renaissance period through the lens of a master 20th-century foundry. Dini e Cellai pieces are prized by collectors for their historical accuracy and artistic merit.
