Wonderful set of 4 hand dyed linen napkins. 
Crisp heavy hand slightly rustic linen perhaps a bit of cotton or hemp blend. 
Classic checkerboard motif with hand embroidered center monogram EC.  Lovely light grey color. Perhaps a bit of blue hue undertones???  Color is fairly consistent throughout. 
Photos are fairly accurate color on my monitor.

I purchased this set dyed, to tricky of a processes for me! 

Dating from 1920-40 time period.

Condition:  Very good! No flaws that I note. 
Freshly washed, pressed and ready to use.

Washing instruction given to me: wash SEPARATELY in cold water, line dry and treat stains promptly with fizzy water (tonic seltzer). I generally toss in color catcher. These are untreated for color fastness but they should hold colorwell with cold washing. I have numerous darker colors and they have washed beautifully!  
They should not be stored in direct sunlight! 


I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special!
