New Hall Coffee Pot Pattern U476 Gold Vermicular c1812-1818 Pat Preller
(Please note, eBay now sets all postage costs and I have no control over the price.) For your perusal, a stunning and rare large coffee pot made by New Hall. It is decorated in their pattern U476, which is covered in gold vermicular wavy lines. There is a border of gilt foliage around the top of the pot and further gilt decoration to the spout and handle. The coffee pot was made circa 1812-1818, so the Georgian Period.
It is also from the Pat Preller collection and has her label on the base.
The piece is in great condition for its age. The pattern is fine and bright, with some rubbing from wear. There is a crack to the finial on the lid, probably a firing line from the time of manufacture. There are some firing, including frit in the glaze, age & usage marks, which are normal in ceramics of this age. There are some minor losses to the rims. Please see photos as these form part of the description. The approximate measurements are:
26.5cm tall with lid in place, 29cm spout tip to handle & 16.2cm body diameter.
Please see my other listings for more, mostly ceramic, pieces. I am selling a number of pieces from my collection built up over a long number of years, so keep an eye out for my future listings.
