This is an authentic Soviet Artillery Fire Adjustment Device (PPK), based on the legendary 1944 Pattern (ОБР. 1944г.). Developed during World War II for Red Army artillery commanders, this mechanical analog computer was a vital instrument for calculating ballistic corrections and fire transfer data in field conditions. This specific unit is a superb example of mid-century military engineering, likely dating from the 1940s to early 1950s.

The device serves as a specialized ballistic calculator and plotting board. Unlike static charts, this tool features active mechanical components:

Dual Rotating Logarithmic Disks: Labeled "Шкала Sin" (Sine Scale) and "Шкала tg" (Tangent Scale), used for complex angular calculations and determining shell burst deviations.

Mechanical Sliders: The lower section includes functional "active" windows for recording Deflection (Угломер) and Range (Дальность) corrections (Left/Right & Short/Over).

Tactical Diagrams: The interior is lined with detailed instructional flowcharts and tables for fire preparation and adjustment by stopwatch.
