Here's a marvelous older turquoise nugget necklace with a traditional and lovely design. The necklace comprises a double strand of polished blue and blue-green turquoise nuggets with heishi bead separators. A short silver chain and hook-and-eye findings complete the design.  

From tip to tip, the necklace is 33" long.

The silver chain and hook-and-eye closure are about 5" long.

The turquoise nuggets are of many shapes and sizes, but generally range from 1/2" to 3/4" in width. The heishi beads are about 1/8" in diameter.

It weighs 85 g.

While this piece is not signed, their design and construction are very likely Navajo. They were sourced from longtime collectors when they lived near Kayenta, AZ in the mid-1970s.
