In Game 5 of the 1999 NLCS on October 17, New York Mets third baseman Robin Ventura hit a walk-off "grand slam single" against the Atlanta Braves. With the bases loaded and the score tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 15th inning, Ventura hit a homer, but his teammates mobbed him before he reached second base, resulting in an official 4-3 win and a single.
