This is the official
sales listing (not resale) for a new TF536 with a 68030 CPU clocked at 36MHz, an A2000 CPU slot adapter, and a bootable CF card.
This
is the low-cost version of the classic TF536 accelerator that still
offers most of the benefits of the original version, including a full
68030 CPU with MMU for MapROM function that allows you to eliminate
16-bit ROM bottlenecks on the A2000, making this an ideal CPU for WHDLoad
games.
The
accelerator features 64MB fast ram, and a bootable 8GB CF card.
IMPORTANT: This board is intended for use in the Amiga 2000 CPU Slot. If you are looking for an A500 version, please check my other listings. Your A2000 needs to have Kickstart 3.1 at least. It is necessary to take out the original 68000 CPU out of the motherboard. The machine will autoboot from the CF card.
SCSI-DMA controllers (such as A2091) will not work in conjunction with this board due to bugs in their firmware (16-bit machines cannot DMA into Z3 ram, but these cards attempt to do so anyway). The onboard IDE controller is however still faster than the A2091.
The CPU is socketed. The IDE interface is buffered, which means you can use longer IDE cables if you wish. More details are available on my support page.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Amiga 2000 with kickstart 3.1 or greater.
Installation documentation and tips will be provided to the buyer.
US buyers will have to pay additional import taxes on delivery after August 29th 2025.
