For sale is a Metallic Black new 3DSXL top and bottom cover plates, along with their serial number matching box. Please note that a 3DS is NOT included in this listing - what is pictured is what you get.
The plates themselves are in a near flawless condition, with the top plate being virtually spotless and no visible marking is present. The cover has no peeling whatsoever. The bottom plate is in a similar condition, but with the exception of two extremely fine, hairline marks that are only visible in direct lighting that specifically highlights them - I have tried to picture these in the last two photos. A tiny hairline mark near the copyright logo, and another just below the right edge of serial number sticker (which has a slight crease for some reason). Again, these marks are not visible at all in normal conditions and only in bright and direct harsh lighting.
The box is in good condition. There is some shelf wear which has been pictured, but other than that it is in pretty decent condition for its age. The AR cards and manuals will be included in the box.
Do note that while I have tried my best to point out anything I have noticed, I may have missed something - study the pictures carefully.
To swap the top plate is a fairly simple operation on a 3DS: you simply remove the screw cover sticky pads at the sides of the top screen (you may wish to have spare pads available, removing them non-destructively is extremely difficult), use a JIS or JIS-compatible Philips #000 screwdriver (it is important you keep this in mind, as otherwise you run the risk of stripping the screw heads). After that, you simply slide the plate off by pushing forward from the hinge and reverse the process to install the new one. Be careful to keep the system upright so the speakers and camera ribbon cables don't fall out!
