This book is in acceptable condition.  It was printed by Oxford University Press.  

Although this is noted as volume 1, a volume 2 was never published and subsequent printings omitted the volume number. Algebraic notation of around 4000 games. Unpaginated, games are in order by year and with an index for players and openings. All recorded chess games from 1485 to 1800. All known games from significant tournaments and matches between 1800 and 1865 are here.
