This microwave food cover works pretty well. You basically just place your plate on the base and then cover the plate and then microwave. The base has nice handles to prevent scalding. The cover is nice, too because it has vents which allows for the release of hit. The cover also doubles as a colander so that you can wash and drain vegetables. You can also place the cover on top of your food to keep it warm.
I was needing an extra microwave cover and liked this one since it's collapsible. What I didn't realize I'd like even more is the base for it. Now I don't have to put stuff on a plate in there, I put it on this base, cover it up and pull the whole thing out. Then if something spills/overflows, it's contained on that base. This is a brilliant design!
The bottom can also be used as a serving plate. I particularly like how flat it folds for storage. It takes up much less space in my cabinet than the splatter cover I have been using.
