This item is a Proto 2000 HO Gauge 1:87 Scale WM Western Maryland EMD GP-9 II Diesel Locomotive, 23713, in the original box with instructions, warranty info, and bag of screws and detail parts for installation. Engine was made in China in 2003, carries cab number 29, and is standard DC operation, but may DCC friendly. Chassis shows very light wheel wear, and in short test, it operated perfectly - very quiet and smooth - and directional lighting works. I believe the shell was installed on the chassis at some point, because there is some slight surface dust on the walkways. Bag of parts includes screws for assembly and window shades for installation Engine has sat in its box for a while, so could use a thorough detail and lube job once it is assembled for use.
