For sale is OSCAR PETERSON "Plays Jimmy McHugh," on Clef Records MG C-650, Mono, DG, 1955.
SOUND: NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Wow! A brilliant playback, sounding clean and clear!
VINYL: NM
This 70-year-old vinyl record looks amazing! Fantastic condition. Clef "trumpeter" labels are glossy and free of spindle-marks.
JACKET: EX
The edges and corners are solid and straight. Only minor, routine aging and shelf-wear on front and back. Clean and unmarked. Very nice jacket! And of course, you've got the David Stone Martin illustration.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
It's hard to imagine a better copy than this! Buy-it-now for $72.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
