The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, commonly known as the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, was a major international Universal Exposition held in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, from April 30 to December 1, 1904.

It was organized to celebrate the centennial (100th anniversary) of the 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the massive land acquisition that doubled the size of the United States.
