The is a very interesting old legal document dating to 30th April 1862 which involves the Yates family (barge owners) and John Anstice and Willam Reynolds who were prominent "Ironmasters" (owners of ironworks) and partners in the Madeley Wood Company. In Shropshire

 

The document refers to 5 acres of land known as "The Far Hommage Furlong" or "Lower Hermitage" in the village of Madeley.

The vellum document measures 69cm by 56cm approx
