Here we have a very nice 1997 Cannondale M700, size 18" (Medium), in Mango. This bike led a quiet suburban life and was kept indoors, helping to preserve the shine on that very desirable colorway. Honestly, other than some cable rub on the fork, a few scratches from storage damage here and there, and some scratches from a kickstand install (on the underside of the chainstays), this frame is in terrific shape. Certainly no dings, dents or gouges! There are very few signs of use. The chainstay is free of chain impact marks, as is the underside of the downtube.

The frame is Cannondale's CAAD2 aluminum and the fork is chromoly steel.

The frame is set up for cantilever brakes but a v-brake conversion would work as well. 100/135mm axle spacing, and you need a 27.2 mm seat post. Check my other listings, I should have several in stock. The top tube measures about 21.55".

The threaded 1" headset will need new grease because the frame will ship with the fork removed so that everything fits in the smallest possible box - to keep shipping costs as low as possible.

For a better understanding of the bike's overall condition, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE and see the MANY PHOTOS I HAVE INCLUDED BELOW, RIGHT IN THE LISTING, IN ADDITION TO THE 24 THAT EBAY NOW ALLOWS! I want you to know what you're getting!

"WILL THIS BIKE FIT ME?" Please refer to the LAST IMAGE in the set above, it's a handy chart I found on the excitebikes.com website. It's just a guideline though, to be sure, consult your local bike shop's fitting department!

About the shipping: please know, I do not mark up shipping, I charge whatever eBay's system tells me. The cost to get it to you is a function of two things: 1) the size of the box I have available to ship it and 2) your distance from New Jersey. Thanks for understanding!

That about does it. If by chance you need any components to complete your build, please let me know.

If you have questions about the frame, please ask before bidding.

ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS - welcome to eBay! I'd love to provide your first positive rating. Just message me before bidding, mmmmmm-kay? Thanks!

Item sold used "as is". No warranties, implied or otherwise. Auction winner assumes all liabilities and must be based in the USA - no international buyers. Sorry but I cannot ship this frame outside the continental USA, and I will not ship to a freight forwarder either. Why? Because eBay says that I no longer have any seller protections if a freight forwarder is utilized. Thanks for understanding!

I take great pride in the way I pack frames for shipment. I have to use new cardboard boxes from Amazon  ($12-$15 each) because my local bike shops can't always provide me with boxes in the sizes I need. Smaller frames ship with forks removed (if present), rear triangle blocked with wood, and lots, lots, LOTS of crumpled up newspaper to ensure the frame doesn't move around inside. The process is tedious but the results are worth it, as my past customers will attest!

Finally, Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I ship *FAST* and don't sell JUNK!
