Alan J. Simpson (born 1941) is a prominent British marine painter who lived on the South Coast of England. He frequently drew inspiration from various ports and harbors. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1979. His works have been exhibitied at prestigious venues such as teh Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Mall Gallery in London.
