Vintage telecom wire preparation / stripping tool for 24 and 26 AWG solid copper conductors.

Originally used in building entrance protector fields for 5-pin overvoltage protection systems.

Function:

- Strips insulation to precise length for wire-wrap terminations

- Adjustable depth/length control for consistent prep

- Designed to maintain conductor integrity, including 26 AWG fuse leads

Background:

In traditional telco protection systems, 24 AWG and 26 AWG conductors were used on opposite sides of 5-pin protectors, with the 26 AWG acting as a fuse element during overcurrent events. This tool was used to prepare those conductors for wire-wrap posts.
