Here's a fantastic smaller vintage sterling silver belt buckle with beautiful designs. The artist used an overlay technique to create the intricate geometric patterns over a textured base. Hand stamp work creates a sort of sunburst pattern at the top and bottom of the buckle.

It is about 2  1/8" long and 1  1/2" tall.

The buckle loop will fit up to a 3/4" belt.

It weighs 15.6 g.

The artist's hallmark (poorly struck) is a pictogram that represents Navajo silversmith Gibson Gene who's very well known for his overlay and chip inlay work. This buckle was obtained from its first and only owner who indicated that it was purchased in the 1980s directly from the artist.
