Welcome to the small railroad known as the Middleburgh and Schoharie that operated in New York State! Just west of Albany, NY and running south and sometimes parallel to the Delaware and Hudson (D&H) Railroad, this small railway ran from the 1860s through the 1930s. Their epic, brick train station in Schoharie, NY stands in all its glory in this photo and still stands today. This postcard is a fun one as it presents multiple forms of transportation from horse-drawn carriages to the train itself. A horse and dog seem to be having a profound conversation as well in the center of the shot.
