Antique hand made mukluk Eskimo/Unuit
1. hand made early 1900s
2. these are not lined
3. totally hand stitched
4. body is either caribou or reindeer
5. fox trim around the top
6. soles are thick soft leather,
7. leather tongs attached to each side wrap around the ankle and tie
8. fabric around the top with drawer string to tie, they tie in the back
9. found a couple of worn spots, see the photo
10. these are native made, purchased in the early 1900s from the makers
11. I purchased them from an estate, the elderly owners claim their father purchased them on a trip to Alaska
