Description

OEM Mercury power trim cylinder ram set.

These cylinders are used on early Mercury outboards equipped with the external power trim pump system. Mercury produced several variations of these rams through the years, but they are essentially the same and will interchange.

If your engine uses the power trim pump mounted in the boat with four hydraulic hoses coming from it, these rams will be suitable.

Comes exactly as pictured.

Condition

  • Removed from a freshwater engine
  • Cylinders are straight and in good condition
  • Mounting points are intact
  • No visible cracks or structural damage
  • Normal cosmetic wear from use and storage

Aside from basic up and down movement testing, these cylinders cannot be fully tested without pressurizing the hydraulic system. We are not set up to perform that test. However, they are guaranteed to function properly.

Fitment

Mercury Outboards with External Power Trim Pump (4-hose system)

Used from the early 1960s through approximately 1986 on many Mercury engines including:

Inline 3 Cylinder
Inline 4 Cylinder
Inline 6 Cylinder

Mercury produced several casting variations of these rams during those years, but they are interchangeable across those systems.

Always verify your engine uses the external trim pump with four hoses prior to purchase.

This part is sold with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY provided by Southcentral Outboards.

If the part fails or stops working within 1 year of purchase, we will replace it. If a replacement is not available, a refund will be issued.
