For sale here a rather rare item.  The Oppo 83 DVD player with the MODWRIGHT Instruments audio output modification.  This mod improves the audio-out quality significantly and provides balanced line audio out using XLR connectors.

There are articles about this modification specifically on the web.  I can't print a URL here because ebay in its infinite wisdom thinks that URL violates its rules.

As noted in the Condition section, you can't get audio to your TV with HDMI connection.  The firmware in the unit has to be patched for that, but you can still use this as a video player, connecting via the analog outputs.  Audio output to a TV or anything else also available from the analog output RCA jacks and also from the balanced line jacks.

Unit plays Blu-Ray, SACD, regular CDs and DVDs.
