【KLS-101F LW/SN-2】

The LS series, launched in 1978,

creates guitars using carefully selected woods and skilled craftsmen. These guitars have gained worldwide acclaim for their superior sound and exceptional Japanese craftsmanship, enjoying immense popularity.

Today, Tokai continues to uphold its "inefficient production philosophy," insisting on handcrafted processes.

Their appeal lies in their precise woodworking with minimal warping and traditional hide glue bonding.

This time, in pursuit of further pursuing the traditional sound, we have made further upgrades to the popular LS-101F model in the current LS series.

This is the KLS-101F LW/SN-2.

~Features~

1. Neck Grip

A slim neck faithfully reproduced by taking detailed measurements of the neck shape of a valuable 1960s vintage guitar.

2. Neck Angle

The neck angle has been changed from 4.5 degrees on the regular model to 3.8 degrees.

This specification brings it closer to vintage guitars, slightly reducing string tension and improving the sweetness and sustain of the sound. The bridge height is also lower, resulting in lower string action in the higher positions and improved playability for solos.

3. Pickup Position

The rear pickup position has been changed to lower (towards the bridge) compared to the regular model. This increases the clarity and sharpness of the rear pickup's sound, and widens the tonal range between the front and rear pickups.

You can switch between a punchy rock sound and a sweet, mellow sound without changing your amp settings.

4. Equipped with Coil Tap.

You can also output a light single-coil-like sound without changing guitars. By pulling up the volume knobs on the front and rear pickups, each pickup can be individually tapped. This is a feature that is increasingly in demand in today's world, where a single guitar often requires a wide range of expression. While the tap function has a slightly different concept from vintage sounds, it was included with the aim of achieving a wide range of sounds, similar to Jimmy Page's.

5. Specifications of Selected Materials (Selected materials used for the body top and body back)

The body top uses the finest "flame veneer" carefully selected by the manufacturer. Furthermore, the body back also uses "lightweight material" selected according to the manufacturer's standards, pursuing playability. Compared to the average weight of regular models (4.4kg to 4.5kg), this instrument achieves a lighter weight. It combines ease of handling with a beautiful appearance.

6. Pickup changed to HLS

Old PAF-style pickup modeled after a 1959 humbucker

7. Tuners: SG301-20C (Grover type)
