Superb, very rich example of partially-crystallized Calaverite in powdery white Kaolinite from the Isabella mine in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Choice example of so-called "talc ore" from this unusual Cripple Creek mine, loaded with calaverite (better in person). Well-documented specimens from this mine are quite uncommon.
We are proud to present the collection of Judge Raymond Drake of Cripple Creek, Colorado. Judge Drake, a former county judge of Teller County Colorado and lifelong Cripple Creek resident, assembled one of the best collections known of minerals from the Cripple Creek Gold Mining District, particularly the unique gold telluride minerals this classic locale is so famous for. We acquired the Drake collection in its entirety from Mr. Drake in June of 2025 and are excited to be offering a special selection of specimens from this important collection here on eBay! Stay tuned for more and please send us a message if you have any questions or requests!
