Here's a great pair of sterling silver earrings in the shape of a thunderbird. Hand stamp work and overlay techniques were used to create the design. Two good-sized pale turquoise stones are set in the center of the body.

The earrings are 1" wide and 1" tall.

From the top of the hooks to the bottom of the earrings is about 1  11/16".

The turquoise stones are each slightly different in size and shape, but in general are 5/16" in diameter.

Together, the pair weighs 7.0 g.

The artist's hallmark is "W" with a dot, for Navajo silversmith Willie John.
