Offered here is " La Terre-Sainte: Voyage Dans L'arabie Petree, La Judee, La Samarie, La Gailee Et La Syrie " (" The Holy Land ") by J.J. Bourasse, in an 1860 edition published by Mame & Company, Tours. This edition features a tour of the Holy Land, including Arabia, Sameria, Galilea, Syria and Judea, with numerous steel engravings. The text is in French. The book measures is 6.4-inches by 9.25-inches, by 1.5 inches, with a total 508 pages and an attached book ribbon. 

This hardcover book is in Very Good Minus condition for its age. The embossed boards have gilt titles to the spine. The boards are unevenly sun faded, with areas of soiling/staining, more so to the back. The corners are rubbed, resulting in material loss, and there is a 0.75-inch tear at the bottom corner of the fore edge.  The head/tail of the spine are rubbed, with some minor creasing, fading and material loss. There is a 1-inch tear along the hinge of the front board, but the board is holding. The book block has foxing and some soiling at the corners. The pages show occasional spotting/foxing, but are generally clean and unmarked. The front and back hinges are starting, but the binding is holding.
