This bedroom is an antique mahogany set in a Louis XV or French design style, featuring a serpentine front, burl wood veneer, and ornate brass hardware throughout the serpentine dresser, kidney-shaped vanity, and full bed, including the headboard, footboard, and side rails. Included in the sale is the original kidney-shaped bench with shaped legs and trestle base and mirror. Similar pieces are often described as demilune or serpentine commodes from the early 20th century. Each piece is an ornate floral marquetry design inlay using many different wood veneers. All of the pieces are in good condition and have minor flaws, none of which detracts from their overall appearance. I just finished reglueing and reupholstering the vanity bench...stunning!
