Install the catalytic converter as follows:
Part 1 Preparing for Removal
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and allow the exhaust system to cool completely
2. Lift the vehicle safely using a jack and jack stands, or use a vehicle lift
3. Locate the catalytic converter on the exhaust system, between the exhaust manifold and muffler
Part 2 Removing the Old Catalytic Converter
4. Spray penetrating oil on the mounting bolts/nuts to loosen rust
5. Remove the bolts/nuts securing the catalytic converter to the front and rear exhaust pipes
6. Carefully detach and remove the old catalytic converter from the vehicle
7. Clean the exhaust pipe flanges to ensure a proper seal with the new unit
Part 3 Installing the New Catalytic Converter
8. Align the new catalytic converter with the exhaust pipe flanges
9. Install new gaskets (if included) and secure the unit with mounting bolts/nuts
10. Tighten the bolts evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque
11. Lower the vehicle and start the engine to check for exhaust leaks
12. Verify no error codes are present and the vehicle runs smoothly
