Here we have for sale a truly unique 2010 Land Rover Defender 130 TDCi Puma which has had an incredible expedition camper conversion by RIG Automotive. Build number 3 of only 7, this is their top of the line, ex demonstrator with very low miles and fully ready for its next adventure.
This particular build took external design inspiration from the 2015 limited edition Defender Adventure with its purposeful, rugged looks giving it real presence on and off road. Inside is just as utilitarian with plenty of storage but with a touch of luxury. Warm woods and black leather with contrasting stainless surfaces give it a modern but homely feel. Having the technology to be truly off grid was also important in this build so you can really explore those usually inaccessible beauty spots. The Victron off-grid system with solar power and plenty of battery storage means you can be easily untethered for days on end.
With seatbelts for 4 and sleeping for 4 this is a true go anywhere getaway vehicle for all the family. Featuring all the modern amenities associated with a camper conversion such as induction hob, fridge, sink, running hot water, external shower, night heater, pop up roof with sleeping accommodation / extra headroom, 2 seater rock and roll bed with additional 2 seater bench seat, projector with screen etc etc, but in an exceptionally cool and well designed package that has ownly a slightly larger footprint than a modern SUV.
Base vehicle was originally owned from new by British Red Cross so highly maintained but little used with exceptionally low 28k original miles. Also comes fully serviced, inspected and chassis undersealed by the UK's largest independent Defender specialist Nene Overland for total peace of mind for the new owner.

ENGINE
2.4 TDCi Puma engined Defender which was the last engine fitted to production line Defenders (albeit the 2.2 variant). It has had a Stage One Engine Tune by Nene Overland which gives it a few more BHP and a lot more torque (less going up and down the 6 speed gearbox). It's a similar remap applied by Land Rover to the 'Autobiography' edition and transforms the Defender completely.
PERFORMANCE
No official figures but estimated 140bhp with a big increase in torque with the Stage 1 remap (similar to the remap Land Rover did to the Autobiography edition). Weight approx 2500kg (classed as a 3500kg vehicle)
TRANSMISSION
6 speed manual with uprated output shaft (known failure point on TDCi’s) as a preventative measure.
SUSPENSION
Standard Defender uprated 130 apart from rear air suspension aids to reduce body roll.
