This is an 1899 Indian Head penny with the entire reverse engraved in full historic‑style scrollwork. I cleared the tails side and cut a traditional backbone pattern, building the leaves and background cuts around it until the field was filled evenly. It’s the same refined scrollwork style I’ve been dialing in — smooth flow, tight cuts, and a layout that fits the coin’s shape naturally.

The obverse is untouched, keeping the original 1899 portrait and its age intact. The contrast between the old front and the engraved back gives the piece that classic two‑sided appeal.
