TURNAROUND TIME...

Expect a 3-5 day turnaround time once I receive your tester.

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS...

1) Your tester MUST have a functioning meter as these are not available for purchase.

2) I do have a few spare transformers if yours is bad so I can include one for an extra charge (inquire)

3) Your test switches and controls must be operational. Here again I do have used spares in stock so I may be able to provide these (inquire)

SERVICE...

All electrolytic capacitors and any resistors/diodes out of factory specs will be replaced. All controls/switches will be cleaned with controls cleaner and lubricated. Unit will be perfectly calibrated and accurate when you receive it.

SHIPPING...

Your return shipping charges are included in the price but shipping the tester to me is your responsibility. Make sure it is packed extremely safe and fully insured.

SOCKET SAVERS...

I have these in stock and can be installed at an extra charge of $30 each for the Octals or $20 each for the 7 & 9 pin.

MODIFICATIONS...

SOLID STATE CONVERSION, this service gets rid of the large hot 83 rectifier tube and makes your tester much more reliable. Add $85

SOLDERED #55 BULBS, this is probably the most important modification. Your 700/707 tester is fully dependent on making good contact with these bulbs for accurate testing. Have you ever humor your 700 or 707 and noticed the test results changed?? This is why. Soldering the #55 bulbs directly to their respective wiring insures you get 100% perfect contact 100% of the time. Add $50

PLATE CURRENT TESTING, this modification allows you to test plate current simultaneously while testing all power tubes. Simply plug your multimeter tester into the test probe sockets I install, set your meter to Milliamps DC, and observe your plate current readings and test result readings simultaneously while the test button is pressed on your 700/707. Example: a reading of 35 on the multimeter simply means 35 milliamps. This tool is a must if you need to match pairs or quads of power tubes like the EL34 6L6 6V6 6550 EL84 etc... Add $95 for this service.
