These are authentic Ford center console ashtrays designed specifically for 1969-1970 Mustang and Mercury Cougar models equipped with center consoles. When the center console was factory-installed, the standard dash-mounted front ashtray was removed and relocated into the console itself, making these console-specific parts that differ from non-console ashtray assemblies.
The front console ashtray includes the lid with black grained finish and the complete hinged frame assembly that mounts to the console. The lid operates smoothly on its riveted hinge mechanism with proper spring action. Ford part number C9ZB-65048A04-AW. One of the two small rubber bumpers on the front lid is missing. The remaining rubber bumper is present but should be replaced due to age and deterioration of the rubber material. The front ashtray receptacle (removable insert) is NOT included.
The rear console ashtray is a complete assembly with receptacle unit featuring chrome trim accent and black grained finish. The receptacle pivots open and closed and functions properly. Part number not marked on rear unit.
Both assemblies are original Ford metal construction in driver quality condition appropriate for age. No damage to metal components. All mounting screw holes intact. Surfaces show age-appropriate wear consistent with normal use.
Mounting hardware NOT included with either assembly.
