Broken Top Frame Repair Service for the AKG C414 ULS / EB / TL

SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
Broken Top Frame Repair Service — I have encountered a few C414 with snapped-off head frames over the years. Based on the design, it just happens if this particular mic gets accidentally dropped on a hard surface. A normal "glue job" repair will not hold up at all. That let me come up with a two-stage repair method and an adhesive mix involving steel fibers that should set the repaired head stock to the stability of the original aluminium frame cast when leaving the factory [ I have not had a return so far, but it also means that the frame can snap off nonetheless when the mic is being badly dropped or bumped against an object].
To make the mic look nice again, the service also includes dent removal from the mic basket mesh and black spray re-lacquering from the metal mesh — if needed and if wished for.

If required, at extra cost, I'm happy to give the microphone a full back-to-specs service that includes other repairs if needed, capsule & switch cleaning, switch replacements and capacitor* exchanges [*consumables with limited lifespan, they degrade over time]

PROCEDURE
After purchasing the service I'll send you my shipping address. It's recommended to ship the microphone tracked & insured and safely packed in a well padded box.  Please leave a note with your return address [incl. email, phone nr.] in the shipping box

Royal Mail Special Delivery offers a shipment with full insurance cover for the microphone. Otherwise online bookable parcel-agents like parcel2go, interparcel, parcelmonkey representing the services from known parcel companies [UPS, ParcelForce, Fedex etc.]. If you have any issues with the shipping of your device to me feel free to get in contact.
I'll send you a confirmation when your mic has arrived.
When the service has been completed I'll return the device on your behalf to your given address and keep you informed with the shipping.

Turnaround Time
The average turnaround time for this service -from receiving the microphone until the day of the return shipping- is about 7-10 business days depending on my work load
