The Apple IIGS (1986-1992) was the most advanced Apple II computer, bridging the classic Apple II line with the Macintosh, featuring "Graphics and Sound" (GS) with 15-voice Ensoniq sound and enhanced color graphics, a 16-bit 65C816 CPU, Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) for keyboard/mouse, and a Mac-like color GUI, running ProDOS and offering backward compatibility with older Apple II software. It was a powerful, multimedia-focused machine, available now from Wave 1 Collectibles!
