This is an original 1950s single-strand aurora borealis crystal necklace (shown doubled in the photos) measuring approximately 30 inches long. It is composed of round faceted Austrian glass beads with beautiful iridescent sparkle and silver-tone metal findings. The clasp is a classic spring-ring style, and the piece is hand-strung on aged thread typical of mid-century construction. The necklace reflects the refined postwar Austrian crystal craftsmanship popular during the 1950s and 1960s.
