This is a lovely and practical pair of sauce or cream ladles crafted by the highly collectable silversmith, Hester Bateman, during the reign of George III.
In solid sterling silver, they carry the assay office mark for London 1790. The silver is a fine condition, given its age, with no tears or splits. There is a family crest on each finial.
