Antique Chinese blanc-de-chine porcelain figure of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy

The graceful figure is seated alitasana on a rocky pedestal, with her arms crossed and hands hidden under voluminous robes. Her left foot peeks out under the robe’s heavy folds, while a bejeweled necklace sits above the robe’s opening. Her hair is arranged in simple plaits that fall along her back. Head tilted slightly down, she wears a serene expression, her eyes downcast.
