Dinner Plates

Sicily

We offer a set of four vintage Italian ceramic dinner plates by Fratelli Piscitello di Santo Stefano di Camastra. The plates are glazed terracotta dating from the 1960s.

The Piscitello family has famously produced majolica wares in Sicily since the 1600s and is currently led by Antonino Piscitello.

The plates measure 10 1/2” in diameter and 1” in height. Each plate shows artisanal variations to the hand painted designs with minor missed spots of glaze. One plate shows two fleabites on the front edge and a small flake on the underside rim.

The four majolica dinner plates are presented in very good vintage condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs.
