Börne Augustsson 'Borne' Amber Glass Vase for Åseda, Sweden 1948 16.5cm tall

Solid amber biomorphic, organic shape handblown glass. Designed for Åseda Glassworks (1947-1977) by Börne 

Augustsson in 1948. The series was named 'Börne' after the designer. 

Börne Augustsson designed iconic mid-century modern art glass vases for Åseda Glasbruk in Sweden,

starting in the late 1940s and through the 1950s/60s.

Known for organic, biomorphic shapes and bold, cased colors (violet, amber, pale blue, red),

his pieces are highly collectable.

16.5cm tall, 9.5cm wide body, 4.5cm diameter hole, 4.7cm diameter base, 1695gm

Very good original condition

There are a couple of tiny surface marks but for the age it is almost in excellent condition
