The unit has been powered on and tested:
ā Darkfield illumination turns on and glows evenly

ā Stylus probes increment the counter when the probes are electrically shorted together
ā On/off switch functions normally
Important:
The conductive counting plate (electrode grid) that normally sits beneath the glass stage is not present. Because of this, touching the stylus to the glass or to a Petri dish will not increment the counter. This is normal behavior when the electrode plate is not installed. All electronic counting functions have been verified via stylus testing.
This unit can still be used for manual/grid-based or camera-based colony counting, or with an external electrode plate.

The unit is in very good cosmetic condition for professional laboratory equipment. The glass stage, magnifier, and illumination window are clean and clear with only light signs of prior use (see photos).
